2006-2007 Registration

Dear Sponsor and/or Captain,

The Olde English Dart League of Philadelphia (O.E.D.L.) is currently taking registrations for the 2006-07 dart season. The OEDL thanks our existing teams for their ongoing support and welcomes new teams and players. As in the past, matches will be played Tuesday nights and sponsors of EACH team can expect 8-12 nights of business a year. The season will start September 26, 2006 and will run until mid to late April (see attached schedule).

The OEDL consists of several Divisions of usually six (6) teams per division, though it may be necessary to have four (4) or five (5) teams in some divisions. The fees for the Fall ‘06 half-season, due at time of registration, are as follows:

Sponsor(s): 1^st team $200, 2nd team $125 & $100 for each additional team. Sponsor fees are for the Fall & Spring halves (includes one OEDL dartboard/team) are due at or before registration deadline. 09/05/06 SPONSORS ARE NOT OBLIGATED TO PAY PLAYER FEES

Players: $30 due at Fall ’06 registration and $30 due by the Spring ’07 Registration in January.

SAVINGS PLAN- Pay entire year by the fall registration and save $10 pay $50 instead of $60

The OEDL schedule has changed for the upcoming season. The General Membership meeting will be held the Monday before week 5 of each half-season and will no longer be combined with the package pick-up. Both The General Membership & Package Pick-up meetings ARE MANDATORY for both halves. Three (3) penalty points will be assessed to non-attending teams. As with last year, the schedule now includes a make-up week between weeks 8 & 9. Finally, the Fall & Spring All-Star shoots will be held on Tuesday nights at the end of the respective halves. The OEDL banquet in May will have a league-wide LOD.

A team can have from seven (7) to ten (10) players, one of which will be the Captain and another Captain Pro-Tem. Players should commit to shooting on Tuesday nights for the full 2006-07 season. The league recommends that sponsors and/or captains collect player dues prior to registration. This is a good indication that the player is committed to shooting. New players can be added to rosters up to and including Week 3 of the season or for hardship cases when a team’s roster falls below seven (7) players. Any player added to a team after registration must be approved by the Division Director and must pay the $30 player fee before they can play.

If you plan to enter a team for the 2006-07 season, please fill out the attached registration form. The captain must be entered on line 1) and the Pro-Tem on line 2). The remaining shooters can be listed in any order. For all players, the OEDL requires Full Name (no nicknames), address, phone # and e-mail address. This information is used for contacting player on league matters only and is not provided to any outside services.
